The Master Gardeners of the Shorewood Culinary Arts Youth Education will hold their 2nd Annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, August 27th at a beautiful private home in Innis Arden.  Holly Smith of Cafe Juanita, Brock Johnson of Tom Douglas' Dahlia Lounge and Dan Gilmore of Urbane, are just a few of the Top Chefs of the Seattle area who will be participating in the event. The multi-course meal will feature local products including produce donated by Charlie's Produce. Seating is limited to 60 and will cost $200.00 per person. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to the Shorewood Culinary Arts Youth Garden, with portions of the proceeds going to the Shorewood High School Culinary Arts Program and to Food Lifeline. The Shorewood High School Culinary Arts Program and The Culinary Arts Garden sponsored by Washington State University Extension/Master Gardener Foundation of King County presented a special Harvest Dinner on  September 10, 2010. This special fundraising dinner took place in a beautiful private home in the Innis Arden area of Shoreline, Washington. 50 guests enjoyed the multicourse dinner prepared by some of the Top Chefs in the Seattle area: Maria Hines of Tilth, Holly Smith of Café Juanita, John Sundstrom of Lark, Jerry Traunfeld of Poppy and Dana Tough and Brian McCracken of Spur Gastropub and Tavern Law. The dinner featured the best of local products including produce from the school’s Culinary Garden. The money raised went directly to the Shorewood Culinary Arts program and will help fund the major expansion of the Master Gardener’s Youth Education Garden.
